Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah condemned the assassination of martyr Sheikh Saadeddine Ghiyyeh, the Islamic
Action Front official, in Tripoli.
"Sheikh Saadeddine Ghiyyeh was assassinated this morning by wanton shots which martyred him after he was exposed to a number of futile assassination attempts."
In the ninth night of Muharram at Sayyed Al-Shuhadaa complex in the southern suburb of Beirut, Sayyed Nasrallah said that the murder is serious as it targets the resistance path.
"It also targets all who advocate the national unity and coexistence in Lebanon all who oppose the takfiri track in ordering the priorities of the nation."
"Sheikh Ghiyyeh's assassination is a serious indication and a dangerous track that has started in Tripoli and may head to other Lebanese areas," Sayyed Nasrallah noted.
"The government must take the events of this assassination as well as Tripoli and Dahiyeh blasts seriously and sensitively," his eminence added.
Sayyed Nasrallah pointed out that although some political forces claim prudence for the safety and the security of the Lebanese, they ignored the assassination as if it had not happened.
In a different context, Sayyed Nasrallah emphasized that Ashura gives us the model that we can adopt in our life.
His eminence quoted the leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran Imam Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini who said, "All what we have descends from Ashura."
